S2W Holds Launch Event for Its New Subsidiary in Japan

- Hosts a press conference and opening ceremony in Tokyo to introduce its subsidiary's operating plans and local business strategy

- Targets the public and private sectors in tandem, building on contracts won with Japanese government agencies

- "Drawing on a deep understanding of the local industry landscape, we will do our utmost to establish a firm foothold in the Japanese market"

S2W held a press conference and opening ceremony in Tokyo, Japan on the afternoon of the 23rd to formally launch its local subsidiary.

At the event, top executives from S2W's headquarters—including CEO Suh Sang-duk, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Park Keun-tae, and Chief Product Officer (CPO) Kim Jae-ki—together with Miyoshi Heita, head of S2W's Japan subsidiary, took the stage as speakers to present the company's technological capabilities, product lineup, and Japan business strategy, and to share technical insights into the cybersecurity and AI fields.

Explaining the rationale behind establishing the subsidiary, CEO Suh said, "In Japan, investment in digital transformation (DX) and AI transformation (AX) is expanding rapidly, while advancing cyber threat response systems has emerged as a pressing national priority. For S2W, this is a market with tremendous strategic value and growth potential." He added, "Local demand across our core domains—including cybersecurity, information security, and AX—is also growing steadily, making Japan a highly significant country to serve as a base for expanding our business across Asia."

Next, subsidiary head Miyoshi—who has spent more than 20 years in the information technology (IT) industry working in business development, overseas operations, and cross-border expansion consulting for Korean and Japanese companies—introduced the subsidiary's operating plans, its customer support framework, and a phased roadmap for attracting new customers and expanding partnerships. The event closed with a keynote presentation by CPO Kim on "Supply Chain Infiltration and Preventive Security (TPRM) Based on Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI)," followed by a technical session by CTO Park on "The Vision for AI-Driven, Domain-Specific Data Intelligence."

This past March, S2W signed a renewed contract with a Japanese government agency at more than 3.5 times the previous scale, once again earning recognition for the performance and technical strength of its products in the Japanese market, which is known for its high barriers to entry and rigorous verification process. Going forward, the company plans to target the public and private sectors simultaneously by establishing a customer-centric technical support system centered on its Japan subsidiary and strengthening its foundation for collaboration with local partners.

Miyoshi said, "It is meaningful to be able to take part in expanding the Japanese business of S2W, which has demonstrated a broad spectrum of technology on the global stage over the past seven-plus years," adding, "Drawing on a deep understanding of the local environment, I will do my utmost to help the company quickly establish a firm foothold in Japan—a key market—and strengthen its position within the industry."

CEO Suh said, "We will closely identify the industry-specific needs and customer challenges of the Japanese market and actively reflect them in the process of enhancing our products and services," adding, "On that basis, we will develop our Japan subsidiary into a key pillar driving S2W's global growth."
