Jaeki Kim, Head of the Threat Intelligence Center, participated as a speaker at the National Cybersecurity Seminar held at the National Assembly, delivering a presentation on "Evolving North Korean Cyberattack Techniques and Response Strategies."


Kim highlighted how North Korean state-sponsored hacking groups such as Lazarus, ScarCruft, and Kimsuky have advanced their methods, emphasizing the need for a shift in national-level response strategies.


He particularly noted the growing trend of utilizing generative AI as an attack vector, stating, “There have been cases where timely societal issues such as national security or presidential elections were exploited to lure victims or target specific individuals. This underlines the importance of establishing a proactive response system through public-private collaboration and maintaining continuous updates on threat intelligence.”
