S2W Presents for Fifth Consecutive Year at VB2025
2025.09.30

🇩🇪 S2W participated as a presenter at Virus Bulletin 2025 (VB2025), one of the world’s premier cybersecurity conferences, held in Berlin, Germany, from September 24 to 26.

This marks the fifth consecutive year that S2W has been selected as a VB presenter, which demonstrates the continued global recognition of the company’s threat intelligence research capabilities.

At this year’s conference, S2W unveiled two new research studies analyzing threat groups linked to North Korea.

The first presentation introduced an in-depth analysis of the DocSwap malware. Disguised as a secure document viewer, the malware was found to be highly sophisticated and capable of executing up to 57 commands. Indicators of association with the Kimsuky group were also identified.

The second presentation examined activities by ScarCruft (APT37). The study identified several new tools, including Rust-based malware, a backdoor utilizing the PubNub API, and customized ransomware. The findings highlight a shift from espionage-driven operations to financially motivated campaigns.

Sang-duk Suh, CEO of S2W, stated,“VB2025 is more than a conference appearance. It represents global recognition of S2W’s differentiated threat analysis expertise. As a data intelligence company with unrivaled datasets and analytical depth on threat actors from North Korea, China, and Russia, we will continue to contribute to the global cybersecurity ecosystem.”
