Understanding the Global Shift Toward AI-Driven Cybersecurity

CEO Sangduk Suh shared his insights through a recent column published by JoongAng Ilbo, discussing the global movement to integrate AI technologies into national defense and cybersecurity.

In the 21st century, the battlefield has expanded into the vast realm of cyberspace, where physical weapons alone are no longer sufficient. A nation’s cyber defense capability now depends on how quickly it can detect and analyze signals of cyber threats.

This reality is clearly reflected in the U.S. Department of Defense’s Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) initiative, which applies AI, automation, and predictive analytics across multi-domain networks spanning land, sea, air, cyber, and space.

From this perspective, gaining an advantage in today’s intense global cybersecurity competition requires bold regulatory innovation and active public-private collaboration. One potential approach could be establishing a regulatory sandbox where governments and enterprises jointly test and validate the value of integrated data analysis.
