S2W Receives Ministerial Commendation for Breakthrough Ransomware Tracking Technology

S2W has received a ministerial commendation from the Ministry of Science and ICT at the 2026 AI-ICT Industry and Technology Outlook Conference in Seoul, recognizing the company’s outstanding contributions to advancing ICT innovation and strengthening national cybersecurity capabilities.

With support from the Institute of Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation, S2W led a national R&D project from 2022 to 2024 dedicated to identifying and analyzing the origins of ransomware attacks. Through this initiative, the company enhanced its ability to gather multi-dimensional evidence, identify attacker infrastructure, and trace real-world attack flows. By integrating OSINT, dark web intelligence, cryptocurrency tracking, and malware similarity analysis into a unified automated platform, S2W achieved accuracy levels comparable to leading global security agencies, reaching the 80–90 percent range. The project also resulted in 17 domestic and international patents, including five U.S. patents, alongside nine academic publications, five of which were SCIE-level.

These technological advancements are supporting global security cooperation, protecting national core technologies, and strengthening intellectual property defense across major industries. S2W continues to expand its international ICT presence, securing public-sector projects with INTERPOL and agencies in Japan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Taiwan.

CEO Sangduk Suh noted that the ministerial commendation affirms the significant impact of S2W’s data intelligence innovations, emphasizing that the company will continue accelerating its growth by deepening its technological leadership and strengthening its global footprint.
